There were 46 competitors. It was neat that you guys came over from Whakatane/Ohope to brave the conditions, our weather is normally a lot kinder than it is over your ways. Always a first I guess. Of course we had the Hannan's from Kawerau who weren't going to come if it rained. I'm glad you did though, and I bet you are too. Awesome to see Scott Pitkethley and John Harris make it across from Gisborne. Our oldest team was that of Rodger Steeper (62) and Richard Barnhart (56), really cool to see them both out there in those conditions enjoying themselves. (I think)

Asking around I never heard one miserable thing to say about the event. You lot that climbed Eggleton's hill were treated to the best view in the Eastern Bay, on a sunny day its just awesome up there. Cheers Colin!! It was Shane's idea to send you up the steepest face possible. I did hear however that everyone started to get a bit pissed off at me as they thought we had forgotten to position control 44 on the one of many stumps. Would have been an impressive sight to see over 40 bikes laying on the ground while you lot looked for the control, ha, and all you had to do was ride past it and look back up. My scheming plan worked.

Anyway the results are attached, red is first, blue second, yellow third and green is very HIGHLY COMMENDABLE!! You will also see I've included just for your interest only the amount of answers each team got wrong and the potential points you missed out on. This is for your interest only and I will not be answering anyone who wants to question them. My decision is final!

Well I've had demands for an encore so keep Feb next year clear for a summer one. Will keep you posted.
