The event will be run near Scargill, in the same general area as the first H.O.W. event two years ago. However this is a NEW venue, with less than 20% common to the earlier event, and a different start/finish. The terrain is steep to easy hills up to 650m, with open grassland and scrub. The map will be the usual 1:50,000/20m map with organiser's additions, and instruction is available to anyone who needs it on the day.
Entry fee is $30 per person with half price for juniors 14-17,
and this includes hot soup (presumably for those calling into
base during the event) and a post-event meal. The entry form is
available on the
PAPO website.
Entries close 9 June.
