On a freshly mapped area, with every track and walkway detailed, come and enjoy the first major Rogaine to held in the Central North Island. The area is over 60 square kilometers in size, 95% forested, with intricate fine navigation in some areas and hundreds of tracks, both Mountain Bike and Forestry. There's some very steep areas, some flat swampy areas all set in the scenically beautiful Whaka forest right next to Rotorua. You pass by, maybe even around some of New Zealand's most beautiful lakes, geothermal activity and a mixture of native and pine forest.
Looking to stretch your legs, navigation skills and endurance? There'll be 8am hour and 4 hour versions, with start times at 10am and 2pm respectively, both with a scummy hot meal and prize giving at event end. Accommodation abounds on the back door step of the event, including those hot pools to pamper the tired body.
