We've planned 3 a fortnight apart which will provide a good warmup for the Marlborough Rogaine in December. Wednesday nights, starting 24 Oct. 6pm start, three hours duration, which will give you about an hour in darkness. Other dates 7 Nov and 21 Nov, maybe we'll start later to give more dark.
Shoestring rogaines have a map with circles on but there is no marker at the control sites; it all works by honesty. Teams or solo, we don't care, use these for practice.
The first one will start in my garage, 5 Atahu Grove, Lower Hutt next Wednesday 24 Oct. On SH2 at Melling lights, north to next traffic lights (very soon) and take Tirohanga Rd up the hill. Right into Matuhi St, right again into Atahu Grove. Park on the road, walk down the drive. Be ready to run by 6pm, but if you arrive later just pick up a map and go. Finish time 9pm. The area will be part urban but we should be able to fit the Korokoro Stream on so there's plenty of off-road.

Previous posting:
The Wellington 3-hour Shoestring Rogaines are on again. Slotting nicely into the lead-up to the Marlborough 16-hour, three Wednesdays at fortnightly intervals are proposed: 24 Oct, 7 and 21 Nov, starting at 6pm. Approximately 50% darkness, excellent practice for the overnight section in Marlborough.
We have two organisers, anyone want to plan the third one? Any significant clashes on those nights? Contact me (Ph 566 2645) with comments, and watch this website for more details. We'll use Mike Sheridan's email list too.
