World Rogaining Champions To Defend Title

Defending world rogaining champions, Chris Forne and Dennis de Monchy of Christchurch will defend their title this weekend, 13-14 September, at the 8th World Rogaining Championships, being held in Estonia. Forne and de Monchy won their endurance orienteering title at the 7th championships in Australia in 2006, defeating over 300 teams for the honour.

New Zealand is well represented at this year's championships with 30 competitors in more than ten teams entered across all age grades. In the junior class, Tim Farrant and Georgia Whitla (Christchurch) are expected to perform well as are, yet another Christchurch pairing, Dave Laurie and Bruce Meder, in the men's supervets (over 55).
