Spot the Quoll
Australian Rogaine Champs, 21-22 May 05
A chance to encounter the rarely seen Spotted Tail Quoll is a feature of
the Australian Rogaine Champs, in south-eastern Queensland on 21-22 May.
The area at the Cherrabah Homestead Resort contains some scenic
terrain with pleasant walking conditions, with magnificent views from
the higher parts of the course. The nearest town is Warwick, and Brisbane
airport is three hours drive.
The championship event is of course 24 hours, but there will also be a 6-hour
option, and something not tried in NZ, a 15-in-23-hours. This variation is great
for hash-house-holics, you can do your 15 hours in any way you like, in one burst
or returning to the hash-house between two or more outings.
Information (with pictures) and the entry form are on the
Queensland Rogaine Association website.
There are links to accommodation providers and to sponsor
Kathmandu.
Entries close 8 May.
