Australian Rogaining Championships, 15/16 July

I am living in Melbourne for a couple of years and I am intending to do the Australian 24 hour Rogaine Champs in the Hunter Valley NSW on July 15/16. I would much prefer to do it as a NZ team rather than find an Australian teammate. If you know any Kiwi Rogainers who would be keen to do the Aus Champs I would be interested to hear from them.

Since I came over I have done the 99 Aus Champs, three 12 hour rogaines, a 3 hour score event and a couple of orienteering events. I know a bit about Australian terrain now. Last weekend I did a 12 hour Rogaine with Vivienne Prince (NZ). We finished 8th overall out of 80 teams, 2nd Mixed and 2nd Mixed Vets. The navigation was tricky, even by Australian standards. Lots of indistinct features, 100% forest with thick undergrowth, overgrown tracks, unmapped tracks, etc. Viv is doing the Aus Champs with her World Champs teammate Derek.
