In Taupo at Labour Weekend?

It was good! Six riders enjoyed each day and the changes since the mapping was done are fairly minor.
A course was planned which took at least 65min. Anyone wanting a copy of the map send $4
(book of 10 40c stamps would be fine) to Michael at 5 Atahu Grove, Lower Hutt. Specify
whether you want a blank map or one with that 65min course on.

Michael Wood is offering some informal MTBO near Taupo at Labour Weekend.
(This would consist of those present designing some
courses on paper and riding them, taking pot luck that there have been no
track changes.)
Michael is printing some copies of a map of Wairakei
Tourist Park which he partially mapped for MTBO last December.
The work covers about 4 sq.km of the commonly-used MTB area near Craters of the Moon.
He will be in Taupo at Labour Weekend for runny orienteering, and intends to
turn up with the maps at 4pm on the Saturday and again at 4pm on the Sunday.
The location is off SH1 just north of Taupo, follow signs to the Craters of
the Moon thermal area, there is a carpark on the left in about 600m. If
anything prevents him being there at those times he will try to have his phone
on so try 027 232 4310.
