Victoria Park MTBO

Final in PAPO Series, 11 Nov 07

After the unseasonal downpours in October, it was a relief to get the Victoria Park MTBO off the ground. Unfortunately as often happens with changing dates we had a couple of clashes with other events, which will have contributed to the lower turnout. Still for those who were able to ride it was a perfect day with dry tracks (just a smattering of drizzle yesterday to keep the dust down) and clear blue skies.

The event was a two hour score format and a number of riders managed to clear up, with John Fink the fastest in 87 minutes. The fastest woman was Deb Bain. I would like to thank Conal BB for some excellent course planning and Greg and Josie for all their help. Neither the original or rescheduled event would have taken place without their help

In the 5 event series Craig Tregurtha took out the mens category and Georgia Whitla the womens. Thank you to Cycleways in Ferrymead for the sponsorship, please think of them if you are looking for bike stuff. They are on the main Ferry Road
