New Members for MTBO Committee

The NZ Orienteering Federation has made two new appointments to its MTB-Orienteering Committee, and one has stepped down. The new members are Trevor Knowles and Kelly Fogden. Click on the small pictures for an enlargement.

Knowles is the rider who travelled to France in July to take part in the non-championship events which were run alongside the first world championship. He lives in Whitby near Wellington. And 17-year-old Fogden has been recruited to give a junior voice. The Whangarei student won the Open Womens title at the NZ Champs in November. Bruce McLeod, a top orienteer, biker and adventure racer from Queenstown has resigned.

The other members are Andy Clayton, a former NZOF Secretary, who lives in Hanmer; Brent Hoy (Wellington) who runs MTB races and kicked off MTBO in the North Island; John Mote (Christchurch) who represents the NZMBA; and Michael Wood (Lower Hutt) who has run many MTBO events.
