Planner's Report -Wanda OY, 15 October

My intention for this event was to set courses that served as "sharpeners" for the following weekend's Wellington Championships. The area was restricted by recent logging, which was why the Yellow and White courses were set on the farmland; Orange and Red courses were deliberately set all in forest, with numerous controls, constant changes of direction and a necessity to keep focused throughout.

Results were generally satisfactory from my viewpoint and comments were generally very positive, although a couple of courses were plainly a little too long. The field was a very small one -only 50-odd runners in total- which was rather disappointing.

Thankyou to Bill and Susan for constructive controlling; James Scott and the Basires, Robertsons, Linda and Philippa for their efforts on the day.
