  7. Michael Wood, 420 - 100 = 320
  8. Harriet Carr, Stuart and Ann, 300
  9. Richard and Andrew, 260
Planner Tony Gazley. Winners' route (we think): From the end of Truscott Ave in Johnsonville, down Burma Road picking up the two 60's in the bush tracks behind the Khandallah swimming pool, to Crofton Downs and two out of the four controls on the hill above. Interestingly the 2nd-placed team chose the other two controls here, why didn't you go for all four after investing the effort to get to the far end of the course? Back along the ridge (in the murk) to Kaukau via #52, the three around Kaukau and #20 on the way down.

Down into the stream which comes out by the quarry, over to the cluster of controls in the stream which comes out just past Red Rocks and up to 485m Te Kopahou. Along the top (in the mist and into the wind!) as far as time allowed, which was #59 about 600m past Hawkins Hill (495m); then down the tip track again to finish with 3min to spare.
