Orienteering Hutt Valley 30th Birthday Rogaine

Cannonball Run: Harcourt Park to Valley View, 9 July 06

A big thank you to Jo Forbes and Rob Harrow for organising such a superb event on Sunday. It incorporated some of the major innovations that OHV has pioneered - rogaining (first NZ rogaine in 1991), MTBO (most events in NZ since about 2000) and sprint distance orienteering (the O-Max format attracting even elite orienteers to city parks for 10 years).

And farewell as well. They are about to head off to Wanaka - Look them up at Basecamp when you are passing through. Both Jo and Rob have served the Wellington Adventure Racing, Rogaining, and Orienteering communities fantastically, both as atheletes and race organisers. They have competed at just about every event going and then have enthuisiastically put their hands up to organise events as well.
