Trade-ins, discontinued lines, buying errors, sale on commission.

• A cleanout has uncovered a collection of brand-new Swedish telescopic 3-legged stools, and the owner wants the proceeds to go to "a good cause". Made of aluminium yet said to support 400kg this is a quality product. On sale at $40 with 100% going to ONZ for junior camps.
  
• Collection from retired orienteer, not much left now. Long sox black/green, 37-39 foot $10; blue pants full length Medium $10; tube description holder $5.
• And some other bequeathed garments, suit family. Mesh top black with purple flashes Size M; Another one black and white Size M; Green/Red/Black top size S; Black 3/4 pants Size S. Make an offer. Proceeds to a good cause, currently ONZ Junior Camps..
• And another retiree, all proceeds to the good cause above. Yellow/black Silva branded O suit in summer fabric, good cond. Top has 108cm chest. Full length pants have waist 108cm at full stretch. They are quite large on me (88cm). Similar Black/White with blue/red trim, with "NZ Orienteering"; also good cond but pants need waist elastic. Smaller 3/4 blue pants with red trim,well used, waist at full stretch 98cm, these fit me (see above). Make an offer.
• We sometimes get trade-ins on SI-cards so occasionally have version 5's in stock. We pay $30, put a new strap on and sell at $35 - we don't seek to make the markup twice. This model is slow to punch (0.5sec) but holds 33 controls. You might also want to upgrade a version 8 to an SIAC and will pay $35 for one of those. (We do reserve the right to decline trade-ins if we get too many - but we get surprisingly few!)
• Lookover specs; your eyes change and you need a stronger pair. These aren't as rugged as an SI card, we'll pay $10 for a tradein in good nick, put a neoprene strap on and sell at $15. Just one snag, people can't always remember and we can't tell what strength used ones are! Try them out with a tricky map. (We do reserve the right to decline tradeins if we get too many, but we get surprisingly few!)
• Miry Mapholder; we get customers wanting to swap their 31.8mm bracket for 35mm because they've got a new bike. Or maybe they can be persuaded to buy a new Miry complete, if there's a customer with 31.8mm bars for their old one. We'll put you in contact directly.
• Not sure if you'll like MTB-orienteering? Too soon to buy a fancy mapholder? We sell an el cheapo model at only $5. Piece of thick corflute with appropriate holes, couple of re-usable cable ties tie it to your bike, and some huge rubber bands hold the map onto it. Warning - costs more to post than the price, but we take them to events.
• Wilderness Reflex parka, Lilac/green, mesh liner, size M, good condition after little use, $20.
• New Orienteering tops, Sportvogl retro designs in Large, half the old price at $30. Or under half price at $20 if you buy o-trou at the same time!
• New Orienteering trou, straight-leg traditional style. A Large and a Small orange: $30.
• New Shoes (we used to have a trailer-full once). Sizes are NZ which follows UK. You may need the MAPsport Shoesize Table.
  • Jalas Cross Control high-top orienteering shoe with ankle brace, mini spiked sole. Size 7 narrow fit but brand new, sizing mistake. Will sell at $150.
  • Vasque Velocity, trail shoe, people like the stiffness of its sole especially after many hours on the go, only these sizes left (NB US sizes): Womens 9.5; Mens 8. Price $150. I love these shoes, can show you a pair that I've done several 24hr rogaines in.
• Pre-loved shoes in size order. Remember we use NZ sizes which follow UK. Feel free to use the MAPsport Shoesize Table.

  • Size 4-ish VJ rubber studded orienteering shoes, well used, $15
  • Size 6-ish Jalas Jukola rubber-studded orienteering shoe, well used $20
  • Size 6.5 Adidas Response Trail Shoes, as new, $50.
  • Size 7-ish Jukola Spider, has mini spikes, good condition $50.
  • Size 9-ish VJ Falcon, mini spikes, well used $25
